Semi Final Defeat
1-2 home defeat this morning in our open cup semi final vs Cov City Red.
With only 9 players available the girls did their very best against joint top of the league.
Our opponents went 0-2 up in the first half with 2 well taken goals. Erin was in goal and made a good save near post to keep the score at 0-2.
A half time pep talk saw us show more belief in the second half. Chances were a premium and we nearly pulled on back after an almighty scramble and clearance off the line.
Mona did pull a goal back with 5 to go which made for an entertaining end to the semi final.
We were unlucky not to get the equaliser to take it to penalties.
We wish Cov City Red all the best in the final !
